Kylie Lip Kit Metallics Review

So I recently got my hands on a Metallic Kylie Lip Kit which I was so excited about! I got the colour Heir, which was a light peach/pink. The metallic lip kits are less expensive than the actual matte lip-kits and I have to say I can see why.

Firstly, the colour when I put it on actually looks nothing like any photo I have actually seen. It is a lot more orange/peach toned but still very pretty so it didn’t really put me off to much. What did take me back was the fact this ‘liquid lipstick’ was absolutelyย not matte, at all. I waited for it to dry for around 10 minutes and it just wasn’t happening. The consistency is very thick and sticky, you can definitely feel it on your lips which is exactly what Kylie herself said it didn’t do? After watching other reviews I have seen almost everyone agree with exactly what i’m saying.

The product really settles between the creases in your lips, and whenever you rub your lips together it creates a weird line. However I found a way to to wear this without wanting to just take it straight off. My NYX Lip Creme in the colour ‘Athens’ is actually the perfect lip colour to wear underneath this. Because its matte it takes the stickiness of the metallic lipstick and actually makes the colour pop a little bit more as alone it is quite translucent.

Personally I don’t think I would repurchase this product, I was so excited about it and it didn’t really live up to the hype in my head. I love the concept and think although it is a very pretty product it is just not a comfortable lip product to wear. What are your opinions of this product?
