Hey guys, after finally finishing my first year of Uni I am finally back to posting some more blog posts. The past few weeks have been slightly crazy and filled with stress and work but it feels so good to finally have everything done and be able to chill for a while. With a holiday coming up i’ve really been on health kick recently so I thought this would be a great post and something different to my usual stuff. Hope you enjoy and try out some of these yourself.
- Strawberry and Avocado Yoghurt SmoothieI saw this on Google and instantly had to try it out. I cut up around 6 strawberries, half an avocado and squeezed some lime juice. I then added four table spoons of natural yoghurt and a cup of semi-skimmed milk. Once this was all blended together I placed it into my cups with a lid on and left it to set in the fridge for an hour to set into a yoghurt. This was so tasty and is perfect for a healthy pudding with added blueberries!
2. Banana Superfruit
This was a concoction I put together myself by just throwing anything I could into my blender. I used a whole banana as I love the taste banana gives to a smoothie! I then added a hand full of frozen raspberries , a whole kiwi and a hand full of water cress. I blended it all together with a cup of soya milk and it tasted amazing! The creaminess of the banana is such a compliment to the tang if the raspberries.
3. Banana and Pineapple
A simple mixture but very tasty is just a whole banana and chopped up pineapple. Add it to a cup of soya milk and blend for a quick easy drink which is perfect for a sweet tooth!
